A fashion extravaganza is coming to France and – non! – we’re not talking about Paris Fashion Week. Disneyland Paris have collaborated with a host of big-name European designers to create a range of one-off outfits inspired by cult Disney characters. The couture collection will be revealed at a fairytale fashion show taking place at Disneyland Paris later this month.
We’ve already seen one of the outfits, a Lanvin cocktail dress designed for Minnie Mouse (above), and today Disney revealed that cutting-edge knitwear label Sister by Sibling have created a ball-gown for a trio of very different mice: Cinderelly’s rodent sidekicks, Jaq, Gus and Mary.
Lanvin will represent France in the fashion show (bien sur) and Sibling the UK. Joining them are milliner extraordinaire Philip Treacy, who will represent Ireland, eveningwear designer Luisa Beccaria of Italy, Spain’s Custo Barcelona and Belgium-born couturier Jean-Paul Knott. Disney have also asked past collaborators Alexander Terekhov (Russia) and Michalsky (Germany) to present at the show, both having previously created collections for Oz the Great and Powerful. Last but not least is Netherlands designer Olcay Gulsen for Supertrash.

The ‘Designers of Dreams’ fashion show will take place at Disneyland Paris on 23 March to launch the park’s extended celebrations of their 20th Anniversary. Aside from Lanvin and Sibling, Disney have not yet revealed which characters the other designers have created outfits for but stay tuned for more announcements soon!
