Throwback Thursday: Melissa x Disney Villains Shoes

Once upon a time, way back in 2011, something fabulously evil happened: Brazilian plastic shoe company Melissa created a collection of flats in honour of Disney’s most terrific (or should that be terrifying?) villains.

Five styles were released each bearing the visage of Ursula, Cruella, Maleficent, Evil Queen and Lady Tremaine. With their witchy pointed toes, dark hues and trademark bubblegum smell, these shoes were magical enough to make Cinderella’s glass slippers look positively orthopaedic. And just in case you ever lost one at the stroke of midnight, each pair had ‘fabulously evil’ written on the in-step so Prince Charming would know exactly what he was dealing with if he ever did track you down.

Tragically, for those still hoping to pick up a pair, these shoes are no longer available. As Ursula might say, “Poor unfortunate soles…”

  1. I also spent ages on Karmaloop lusting after them! Really kicking* myself now for not getting them because I can’t find them anywhere, even on eBay! (No pun intended! :))
