Throwback Thursday: Minnie Mouse Vogues for Russia

Minnie Mouse Russian Vogue 2008 4

In 2008 Minnie went to Moscow with Russian Vogue.

Shot for an eight-page editorial by photographer Doug Inglish, Ms Mouse appeared in a variety of outfits – including traditional Russian-inspired garb and a ‘Matroyshka’ Russian Doll design – created especially for her by renowned Russian designers including Valentin Yudashkin.

Appearing alongside her was Ukranian model Masha Tyelna. Known for her huge, cartoonish eyes, Masha was the perfect co-model for Minnie and together they can be seen exploring some of Moscow’s most famous landmarks as well as embracing traditional Russian pursuits such as the ballet (hence Minnie channelling her inner White Swan, above) and folk dancing.
