Ohhhhh that dress!
It’s been over a week since we saw Cinderella but we are still going gaga for that insanely puffy, blue, fairy godmother-designed ballgown (created by the film’s extremely talented costume designer Sandy Powell IRL).
And now everyone can feast their eyes on Sandy’s awe-inspiring creation, for the Dress has been given its very own window display at one of New York’s chicest department stores, Saks Fifth Avenue. Five other windows at the store’s Manhattan flagship have also been given over to props and costumes from the film to mark the launch of Disney’s designer shoe collection, so be sure to check them out if you’re in the vicinity!
The designer shoe collection features heels created by some of the world’s most luxurious shoe makers including Jimmy Choo and Stuart Weitzman and inspired by Cinderella’s glass slippers . Each pair is displayed in its very own bell jar in the store and is available for purchase from Saks.
In honour of the occasion, Cinderella herself, Lily James, made an in-store appearance (alongside her
Prince Charming co-star Richard Madden) in a floral Dior dress that was almost as puffy as the one in the window!
