Guess what Disney fashion fans? Minnie Mouse will be making her second appearance at London Fashion Week this September! The stylish mouse made her first appearance back in 2012, when some of London’s top designers created a host of Minnie-inspired items including Giles Deacon, Tatty Devine and Lulu Guinness. This time round there will be an entire exhibition dedicated to Minnie’s enduring fashion sense and Disney UK want YOU to get involved using the #minniestyleuk hashtag. Put together your favourite outfit inspired by Mickey’s better half (think polkadots, bows and mouse ears!) and fashion model Georgia Jagger will select some of her favourites to display at the exhibition alongside famous Disney-inspired fashion photography. Jagger launched the campaign earlier this month by posing for Dazed and Confused in some Disney-themed outfits created by up-and-coming London designer Ashley Williams. We’re totally digging the zip-up PVC skirt with a Minnie decal. Not to mention that Minnie-meets-Darth Vader bucket hat! Perfect for rainy London days. “I’ve always been a Minnie fan so I’m really excited to be working on this campaign, showing how pop culture can influence fashion in a way that encourages excitement and creativity,” says Georgia. If you want to get involved in the campaign be sure to browse our Minnie Mouse fashion archive for inspiration! The Minnie Style Exhibition will run 18th-22nd September 2015 at Somerset House in London.
